چکیده
Introduction. Schwannomas are rare benign tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. Despite differences in features schwannomas located stomach as opposed to peripheral or soft tissue schwannomas, their immunohistochemical characteristics same. We present a case 14-month-old boy with gastric tumor who underwent combined laparoscopic-endoscopic resection surgery, followed by schwannoma diagnosis. Case outline. The patient was admitted our pediatric hospital fever unknown origin. Endoscopy, performed after recurrent hematemesis, revealed an ulcer antrum. At four-week follow-up, gastroscopic and microscopic findings were normal. Two weeks later, flank mass antrum detected ultrasound examination. A new gastroscopy CT scan confirmed presence tumor-like mass, 5 cm diameter. polypectomy necessary conversion for complete tumor. initial histological consistent stromal Due this tumor?s rarity childhood, paraffin-embedded samples referred second opinion. Histological made diagnosis unlikely completely resected schwannoma. No recurrence disease occurred during seven-year follow-up. Conclusion. Combined surgery is feasible effective treatment large that cannot be excised endoscopically. Schwannoma should included differential diagnostic consideration lesions even childhood.

Endoscopic ultrasound-guided bilio-pancreatic drainage (EBPD) has become an endoscopic alternative to percutaneous biliary drainage for patients with unsuccessful transpapillary approach. EBPD has a significant complication rate and expertise in advanced therapeutical endoscopy and endosonography are required. Abstract Gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors are a group of tumors originating from the mesenchymal stem cells of the GI tract. Digestive tract Schwannomas are rare mesenchymal tumors which occur most frequently in the stomach. We report a 56-yearold woman who was examined endoscopically for dyspepsia which she had suffered from since 3 years ago. Around gastric antral mass was seen. Surgical ...

متن کاملAsynchronous Rendez-vous in Distributed Logic Programming
In this paper the semantics of the communication mechanism of the distributed logic programming language DLP is studied. DLP combines logic programming with object oriented features and parallelism. For an abstract subset of DLP both an operational and denotational semantics is given. The language DLP supports active objects, method call by rendezvous and moreover (distributed) backtracking ove...
متن کاملResurrecting Ada's Rendez-Vous in Java
Java is a programming language designed with concurrency in mind from its inception. However, the synchronization mechanism provided is a restricted version of Hoare’s Monitors, being too low level for most applications. In this paper we propose a high level synchronization mechanism for Java, based on Ada’s Rendez-Vous, adapting the notation and semantics to Java. The result is a nice and read...
